Boat arrival during the night between Sciacca and Ribera

Giornale di Sicilia - Around twenty people were stopped and taken to the stadium in Sciacca, where a First Reception Centre is being set up.

SCIACCA. A boat of migrants arrived last night on the coast between Sciacca and Ribera, in the Province of Agrigento. The alarm was raised at dawn, when several young, poorly-dressed north Africans were seen wandering around the zone between Verdura and Borgo Bonsignore. Around twenty people were stopped and taken to the stadium in Sciacca, where a First Reception Centre is being set up.
The search continues for other possible immigrants. There are currently no signs of the vessel used. The zone is being searched by the coast guard.
